Planning a ski trip can be tedious, or a spur of the moment thing, but to save the most, planning ahead is strongly recommended. Bogus Basin Ski area is known for Wonder why its name is Bogus?  According to Wikipedia “The area probably got its name during the 19th-century gold rush. Crooks in the hills above Boise City, known as “spelterers”, would made bogus gold dust by heating lead filings with a bit of real gold dust.” Don’t worry, it’s not a bogus ski area. Ski rentals at Bogus Basin are certainly affordable already, but here’s a breakdown and more money saving advice.

Deals

At Bogus Basin ski rentals, lift tickets are $54 for an adult full day and $20 for a child 0-11. Booking as soon as possible and online is the best way to save on season pass tickets. Book before September to save quite a bit and for future reference booking even earlier like in March is the smartest. Season passes are currently $399 for an adult, $299 for a child 12-17, and $69 for a child 7-11. Hurry and book quickly or the price goes up an additional $100 per adult pass, $40 for a child. Preschool age and up is $29 for a season pass. A few perks of having a season pass are 2 free lift tickets, and 2 half price buddy tickets.

Bogus Basin Ski rentals is also known for a tubing addition. The tubing hill is an 800ft downhill slide of so much fun for all members of your family 36 inches or taller only.. Safety reasons do not permit any lap riders and they must be able to use their own tube. Two hours is only $12.00, a tow bar to get back to the top is available. Tubing at Bogus Ski basin is in high demand and reservations online are required. Group rates and parties are also available by calling.

Bogus basin ski rentals is fairly busy, but is also known for a great family ski trip spot. Ski rentals cost $23 for an adult for a full day and $18 for a junior, this includes skis, boots and poles. Bundle as a package or risk paying $15 per item. Snowboard rental rates are $24 for a full day. The only additional charge are helmets for $6.Safety is important and helmets are strongly encouraged.  Remember renting is the way to go, though especially with the high cost to fly with gear. Be sure to bring a few extra socks and a good attitude.
